Decline of US Influence in Arab Countries

Only a few months back in 2011, after US success in Libya in helping the nationalist revolution to oust and finally kill Gaddafi, the ace terrorist of West Asia or rather of the whole world. US and the world were jubilant. But to the shock of Obama and the West and Christians all over the world the celebrations over victory in Libya were shortlived, as soon there were Islamic militants rising all over West Asia, particularly in Egypt where new Islamic political order and organization is coming to rule. In Egypt there have been attacks on Christians and their Churches every where. It must be said that historically 1400 years back Egypt was wholly Christian country with all the significant number of Churches and Christian worshipers. What a contrast? No Christians and their Churches are being targeted, Christians being killed and their churches attacked. As a result many Christians have left Egypt and many more are likely to migrate to European countries.

Egyptian Islamist fundamentalism is going to have repercussions in adjoining Arab and Muslim countries of the West Asia, as in Yemen. There are already uprisings in many adjoining Muslim countries who, too, want their countries to be Islamists in politics, culture and even all aspects, so that no non-Muslim, particularly Christian can live in the Muslim countries.

However Muslim countries of South east Asia starting from Bangladesh which are non-Arab are not affected by upheaval in north – American and South west Asian countries particularly Yemen. These countries are Malaysia and Indonesia in particular which are inhabited by Muslims only. Saudi Arabia has been and even to this day is pro west. While Iran is absolutely independent and has developed its own nuclear weapons and missiles and is even considered a threat to USA and West.

In both Tunisia and Algeria, Islamists are opposed to a compromise or middle-course or secular society with what has been called disastrous consequences for the west. In due course Libya is likely to follow the Muslim Fundamentalist ideology and join the rest in North Africa as fundamentalist Muslims, opposed to US intervention in their countries. Turkey, too, is moving away from secularism and is virtually in the process of being an Islamic fundamentalist country.

Bobby Jindal – Pride of USA and pride of India.

Bobby Jindal, as the very suggests is quite much an Indian as an American governor of Louisiana. It is pride for USA’s state Louisiana as well as of India that Jindal has been re-elected as governor for a second team of four years. It is said that he may be elected as first Indian origin Vice President of USA. He is not fully satisfied by the honour, a second time, of being governor of an American state but wants to finish University of Wales degree.

It is more significant when America is facing worst recession and even Obama’s chances of getting re-elected as President are daily and steadily declining, an American states governor has been re-elected with absolute majority of 66 percent of votes while his opponent could get any 18 percent of votes, Instead of just enjoying the unprecented victory a second time Jindal said. “ We have got a lot more work to do over the next four years” with such dedication to work, Bobby Jindal is bound to rise above governor of a US state to possibly becoming Vice President of USA.

Bobby Jindal wants to serve his state and USA for another four years, not bothering about anything else. Such a determination and dedication is quite rare even in USA. It is surprising that no Indian politician had or has such a dedication for work, starting from Pandit Nehru coming to Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and now Sonia Gandhi as well as Manmohan Singh.

Indian Politician have been hungry for status as minister or Prime Minister, not bothering about dedication to work. It is high time that India should rise above petty achievements of 9 percent growth rate while poor do not have two course meals and many commit suicide in a part of Maharashtra in particular and the rest 30 percent poor are just starving.

Indian politician should learn from Bobby Jindal and become absolutely dedicated to work instead of indulging in corrupt practices like that of A Raja and many others of UPA II who are in jail and many others are facing criminal action and appearance before Supreme Court in coming few months.

To conclude with appreciation and dedication to work of Bobby Jindal, he said “I will use everyday” every hour of those next four years to make louisiana the best it can be” Has any leader of central government or any leader of even one of 23 states of India said so or has shown such a dedication to work? It is essential for our leaders to follow Bobby Jindal.
